B4Ugrow helps responsible business owners consider not only the market decisions around traffic flow and competitive saturation, but enables them to visualize areas that support the local community and avoid legally restricted zones.
This means business owners who are looking for new retail or grow locations can see information in real time and save valuable hours finding great locations, while voluntarily staying in compliance with local regulations.
No. B4Ugrow pulls a variety of information from publicly available data sources and then packages it with additional layers of data from trusted third-party providers.
The B4Ugrow business status indicator (red, orange, or yellow) is driven by laws and regulations, including school and public zoning. We do our best to highlight areas of concern in a straight-forward interface that is supported by additional layers from our research team.
Yes (and No!) – our app service is partnered with our cloud research team and operates on both a native level and as web-based app (enabling tablet and desktop.) Basic levels of data will be restricted in the app until a user account is verified with our team.

B4Ugrow is really geared toward business owners who are looking for a physical location to do business in. General consumers may find mapping data useful when considering local schools or the safety of children, and can communicate with us using the app to let us know about data points that need updating or have additional considerations.
A yellow business status indicator signals that one or more data points is ‘on the fence’ and requires more due diligence and research. Examples could be that your GPS could be right on the border of a restricted zone or that a specific location has a zoning issue that is indecisive.
B4Ugrow is intended to provide data to make an informed decision using the information available to us. Our indicator is not a guarantee that it is legal to do business at a specific location nor is it a ‘sure thing’ that a specific location is a good *business* location. Our consulting and research team is happy to dig into the details about a specific location and clarify if a location meets all of your requirements.
421data abides by all best-in-class legal processes, including working with local law enforcement whenever we are required to do so and especially in cases where we believe the well being of a child could be involved. We are also open defenders of personal privacy and will not disclose any data that we don’t need to.
Whenever our data shows that a school or child friendly zone is present we error on the side of safety, which means we have a larger ‘caution’ zone to minimize GPS errors or instances where a property may overlap two different zones.

Before having this insight finding the perfect location for my cannabis business took months.
Discovering my 2nd location with this toolset took days.
Of six locations we considered to pursue, half of them had multiple regulatory and traffic issues.
My team was unaware. I saved months of headaches.
Regulators don’t even know this stuff.
I’m amazed how my cannabis businesses skirt crucial issues about regulatory zones.
Having this insight gave me the power to choose wisely, plan ahead and dominate my market.
I’m not sharing this with my friends.
